FOR MATERIAL SUPPLIERS
Start with
what you have.
Production material, packaging or a used plastic product: a clear description is the first step towards a useful discussion.
Discuss your materialA CLEARER MATERIAL BRIEF
Tell the story
of the material.
Where did it come from? What was it used for? How is it presented now?
Those details help distinguish a consistent production stream from a mixed clearance. Identify the polymer where known, explain any previous sorting or processing and describe the material as it is currently stored.
Photographs and existing material information can help the discussion. Describe representative variation, including labels, residues, moisture, metals or other plastics. If the composition is uncertain, say so.
Read the material enquiry guideWHAT TO INCLUDE
The essentials, together.
- Original product, process or source
- Polymer and colour, if known
- Loose, baled, on reels, in containers, regrind or flakes
- Measured or estimated quantity and expected frequency
- Known contamination and attached materials
- Location, loading arrangements and access restrictions
Keep different sources identifiable. Agree any required preparation before investing in washing, shredding or repacking for a proposed outlet.
FROM ENQUIRY TO AGREEMENT
Make the next step clear.
The information comes first. Acceptance and practical arrangements follow only when the individual material has been considered.
Describe your streamSend the material description, approximate quantity and location through the supplier enquiry form.
Resolve the open questionsDiscuss any further information, representative sample or supporting document needed to assess the enquiry.
Confirm before dispatchAgree the material description, presentation, commercial terms and any collection or delivery arrangements.
What if I do not know the polymer?
Select “Not sure” in the form. Describe the original item and include any markings or existing material information in your message. A photograph alone cannot confirm composition.
Can I enquire about mixed or contaminated material?
Yes. Describe the mixture and known contamination clearly so the enquiry can be considered. Submitting the details does not mean the material has been accepted.
Can I deliver directly to Belmont?
Please obtain confirmation and agree the arrangements before dispatch. An enquiry is not a delivery booking.
What determines the commercial terms?
Composition, condition, quantity, presentation and logistics all belong in the discussion. Any material value, service charge and transport terms need to be agreed individually.
